I know the type quite well. Which is probably why I have no interest in having it inflicted on me in my entertainment where I have a choice in the matter.

Rob Riggle is the worst. He always plays the same damn character, he's always incredibly annoying and deeply unfunny, and I always spend every second of his screentime wishing he'd get punched in the face. The only thing that made his last appearance tolerable was that his character was foiled. This time I just hit…
Don't forget the Alyssa Milano vehicle Romantically Challenged, which came between Worst Week and Perfect Couples.
They've definitely met before. At the very least, Kyle attended the invited dress last week as Julia's guest and was sitting with her and Tom when Ivy had her wardrobe malfunction.
It would be pretty shitty of any wife to think her husband deserved to be sent to another planet (even if she doesn't know about the possible/likely dissection) for not keeping a secret. A secret he only knew because Roger refused to listen to Stan in the first place and keep his damn clothes on.
My favorite part was Haley beating the shit out of Roger, since it was much deserved for his role in Jeff's kidnapping (even if that wasn't why she was doing it). I liked the fact that she finally acknowledged that Roger and Stan were at fault, but taking the shuttlecock seemed like a woefully inadequate punishment.…
Yes, it was colossally stupid, and Olivia's speech about the results not giving him peace was bullshit. But then, the whole time I was wondering why he'd trust any results Olivia gave him since she worked for his wife. I'd like to think he just decided to destroy them so he could get his own tests performed by an…
Hooray for the return of the reviews!
Mytly,
I didn't forget. I'm actively trying to block that one from my memory. :D But yes, definitely one of the worst episodes ever. The fact that it somehow was graded a straight A here while this one was graded an A- is inexplicable.
I have to disagree that this season is remotely close to being the best they've done (at the very least last season was stronger and more consistent). I think this episode actually demonstrates why: because the very qualities that made this one so great have been lacking too often this season.
The first season was easily the weakest. The show's evolved a lot since then. The second season is still the best, but this was an exceptionally strong episode and certainly worth watching to show you what the show's like now (even if it's not always this good).
After seeing this, I'm sure The Farm would have been an absolutely terrible series, because the half of this episode dedicated to it was truly shiteous.
This easily deserves an A. One of the best of the season, and quite possibly the series, managing a perfect balance between humor and heart. I genuinely got choked up when everyone revealed the possible contents of the letters. I love seeing these characters being portrayed as genuine friends who care about each…
A really good old-school style episode…until the end.
Agreed—it's a fun formula, and I thought this episode was a blast. Great atmosphere, excellent work from Luke MacFarlane (who was obviously the bad guy, even though I was kind of hoping he wouldn't be since he's someone I would have liked to see becoming a recurring player) after the reveal, especially in the final…
I have to admit, this episode nearly made me cry. For all the talk of how mean, mean, mean this show is to the poor old nerds, I see it as having a great deal of empathy for its characters and for people who don't fit in. When Raj's love interest admitted that she's not comfortable around people and tries to force…
No, more like a recurring guest star. I think this is the third episode he's appeared in; he was in the pilot, then showed up again a few weeks ago, then again in this one.
For some reason, I thought Simone would only be in three episodes and I kept waiting for them to get rid of her…but it never happened. Disappointing. The relationship is falling flat and I'm ready for her to go away.
Best episode in ages. Better yet, hopefully it'll light a fire under Emily's ass and she'll start getting shit done again.
I enjoy Scandal, but I have no idea how to rank it in comparison to other shows because it's so thoroughly doing its own thing. There are so many (MANY) things I could nitpick and/or just plain don't work, and things that, judged by normal standards of what is "good" TV, are pretty lousy. Yet the whole thing is just…
