It wasn't without its charm, but, all things considered, it was ultimately pretty bad.  I think this season has a chance to be significantly better, but a lot of people (here, at least) are probably unwilling to give it another shot.

I seem to recall he explicitly said that he can't say for sure whether he'd refuse or not.  He said there's virtually zero chance that they'll ask him, so it's a moot point, but he didn't really rule-out accepting such an offer.  Not that it matters.
