"Live large" has enough of an old-fashioned sound to it, but "ups my game" is thoroughly anachronistic.  Though I admittedly wasn't paying close enough attention to notice it at the time.

I was having major trouble with Grace's accent; it was French at times, American at others, and I seem to recall there having been a third, though I can't remember what it was.  Made me wonder if the character was actually supposed to be affecting different accents, as part of her craziness.
