Sad to see no mention of the homage to The Sopranos finale in Everybody Hates Chris.

The Avengers ended with Steed and Tara King in space.

John Barrowman grew up in IL, so he comes by his American accent honestly.

It was a bit ahead of the trend, having begun in 1967.

Didn't Grasshopperus kill Chad Everett?

Got here late, but I guess I'm the first person to point out that that "Art in the blood takes the strangest forms" line is nearly a direct quotation (with very slight paraphrasing) from Canon.

Haha, to be fair to Conan Doyle, that one shows up in the first few pages of the very first novel.

You're absolutely right.  Sadly, this show's all about sloppy writing covered up by good character work.

So basically, what we know is

Lestrade was a bit over the map in the stories, as @swanpride:disqus writes below.  Mycroft only appears in two stories, and his characterization in the second is pretty at odds with his characterization in the first, though of course fans can find ways to reconcile the two.

@avclub-22cfdce02d35728058686d49fc89a63b:disqus 's point is exactly why I think it's okay to say it about the US (and probably Canada) but NOT India or some other developing nation.

"I'm still a dude that doesn't experience sexism, so what do I know?"

There's always the Avengers route: We never see it, but they drop sly hints that they've hooked up.

Since every main cast member other than Harry Shearer has won an Emmy for their characters, I don't think that's true.  Off the top of my head, Patty, Selma, Moe, Todd Flanders, and Professor Frink are candidates as well.

It's hard to read this pun thread on my Firefox browser.

Yeah, has Shearer actually won an Emmy for this show, or did O'Neal not fact-check properly?  I seem to remember that he was the only one of the core six who hadn't.

Alex Russo (in the first two seasons)

Where's Ian Richardson when you need him?

You'll need a bigger fallacy, Elliott.
