I don't know the film, but that phrase translates as "Life Kills Me."

He was excellent on Criminal Intent as a man driven to kill by his inattentive father (played by his onscreen father from Breaking Away and A Wedding, Paul Dooley!).

The Boston Strangler ftw

Yeah, that line confused me.  I think she was saying that she had doubt that she had done the right thing, since [SPOILER] all that happened was that the priest was moved to a different parish and the boy was deprived of what his mother said was the only positive paternal influence in his life.

Michael B. Jordan was on a sitcom called The Assistants that aired on The N.

It's not just the probability that the kid is telling the truth; it's the consequences of making a false negative error.  People act irrationally whenever they perceive the consequence of getting it wrong to be catastrophic.

Doubt all but comes out and says that he's guilty.

To be fair, it's better than the Masterson brothers' decision to play for a Scientology front organization.

Happy Days: Fonzie vs. the Shark

Kimchi fries ftw

The book actually has a double twist ending …

I've seen both: I've pointed out errors that have gotten fixed right away (and in one very annoying case, was then mocked by other commentators for ostensibly not being to able to read).  I've also pointed out huge factual errors that have remained in the article.  It seems to vary on a writer-by-writer basis.

Another New Yorker here.

Where by "Ed Harris" you mean "Will Patton."

Colbert does this a lot.

You may not want to let your potential roommates know about all your habits.

They're also English actors, which means women age naturally.  The only person @avclub-0de6dd3e9c3035563f798edb70fd1955:disqus  could possibly be referring to is an American cast member (who's probably playing an American).

Maybe she spills ketchup a lot?

Mmm, Americans assuming that what's true of their country is true everywhere ….

The Wiki article for Poldark describes her character as "the unlikely-looking Demelza."  Never having seen the show, I have no idea how to take that.
