… and that's why scientists do studies.  (Granted, this particular study might be flawed or an urban legend or something, but still.)

"The reality is that people are much kinder than we WANT to believe."

Did Louis CK edit this one?  He has two Emmy nominations for editing his own specials, which must drive professional editors crazy.

I'll fix you all!!!

But you don't apologize for saying that if s/he *was* trying to be funny?

He killed fitty men!

Is it to make babies, a la Roald Dahl's My Uncle Oswald?

Gregory's Girl has two versions of the soundtrack on the DVD, one dubbed with "milder" accents.  I believe another Loach film, Raining Stones, was released in the US with subtitles, and The Long Good Friday only escaped having Bob Hoskins' voice dubbed due to a petition from several leading actors.

Another vote for Leave Her to Heaven, the only movie I've ever seen on VHS, laserdisc, DVD, and film (with the color restored!).

Fun facts: The character of the Cisco Kid was created by O. Henry.  One of the early Oscars for Best Actor went to Warner Baxter for playing him.

I'm sure I have no credibility in this realm, but … I hated Carson Daly's old format (house band, studio audience, guests, "comedy" monologue) as much as anyone, and yet his new format (on the road, interviews with obscure but cool fringe figures, neat short documentary films, and live music) is actually … kinda …

"he should be celebrating the fact that someone looks at him and doesn’t race away in terror"

But now that you're 19, your tastes are amazing!

Actually, Tom Higgenson is the frontman for Plain White T's (and the one who wrote "Hey There Delilah" about his crush).  Tim Lopez is the group's guitarist.
