From what I remember (hee hee), its not that he forgets that she's diabetic, it's that he forgets she already had an insulin shot.

I don't remember having a lot of issues with the plot of the movie, but it did blow me the fuck away. One of the best twist "endings" ever.

The Paulie/Tony sequence on the boat is super uncomfortable to watch. The tension just keeps amping up, I remember having no idea what was going to happen next.

Historically, though, Capone loved Torrio like a father-Torrio voluntarily gave him the business; there was no power struggle between the two of them, Torrio was sick of the bullshit and wanted out.

Yeah, I agree with that assessment; Glenn Howerton is hilariously scary (remember his face whenever he said the word "implication"?). I think that Charlie isn't particularly bad though, more insane and opportunistic than anything else-his heart seems to be in the right place, unlike the others.
