Sorry-Rocky IV was the best, especially if you were nine years old and raised by hard core cold warrior parents. If Rocky wasn't going to beat up that motherfucker, I was ready and willing.

You find it exhausting? I find it gun-in-the mouth depressing, though it does warm my heart that maybe more people like to play dress up than I thought.
The heather ale
is quite nice, actually. Even the ever knowledgeable folks over at Beer Advcoate tend to agree:

Thanks to Flo Rida, my pro-rap argument that I always get into with my wife was set back about ten years.
Damn good lineup
I was surprised when I saw how many kick-ass chefs they got. Sure, they can't get everyone (Thomas Keller, Eric Ripert), but wow, lots of big names. I know Michael Symon is under contract with Food Network and Iron Chef, but he would have been a fun addition, and he could have continued his rivalry…
@Bronsonman
Actually, I've seen Rick Bayless's carnitas recipe (fried in lard), so I think he'd roll.
Just got back from NO; I ate at Lukes, Besh's bistro place. Holy god that was damn good, I couldn't imagine how his high end place (August) is.
How albums age
When this album came out I was in junior high and thus it had a strong influence on my musical tastes (Smells Like Teen Spirit also blew my mind). At that time, Evenflo was probably one of my least favorite songs, but now, my far my most favorite.
Yup, seems perfectly reasonabl to me. Jim Carrey as Curly seems less well-thought out.
Over the Hills and Far Away, classic zep-both beautiful and rocking. Probably the most enjoyable Zep tune is Bron Y Aur Stomp, though. Hell of a lot of fun
Hard for me to argue with paint it black-I first heard it when I was about 12 or 13, and it blew my mind.
I guess I wasn't quite as excited about it as the America recordings, but maybe I just prefer the song choices Rubin made.
Yes, it is indeed, and it kicks all sorts of ass.
Neko Case and Johnny Cash?
Today is a very good day for the AV club, two musical thumbs up! Another great Cash cover is "Paradise" It may only be available on the two disc Personal Files album, which isn't worth much, but to me that song captures all that's great about Cash: his voice, a guitar, and a story full of…
I wonder what Ted Danson does when Whoopis says sex?
World Cafe
First time I heard her was on World Cafe when Fox Convfessor came out. Probably one of my all time favorites.
Yup, richard finally won-hooray! It was odd that they kept showing his sous chef, some bald dude, more than richard.
When I pay attention, Gail usually has some insightful comment, more so than Padma, whose sole purpose apparently is to dress like a Native American princess.
Interesting parrelels to last year
Like Stefan, Richard was clearly the best chef last year throughout the season, and also fumbled it at the end. Probably the biggest difference is that Richard lost to a pretty solid chef in Stephanie, while Hosea has largely snuck by for much of the year.
When Carla wasbreaking down at judge's table, I heared weird little noises and thought my TV was broken. Then I realized it was Stefan showing empathy, which apparently Hosea is incapable of doing. Assuming it wasn't an editing trick, Hosea's comment about cooking his own food falls squarly in the douchy column.
