I have the opposite. I've never watched the series but seeing the glorious finale F grade makes me want to check it out to see how bad it really is.

About that last scene, I thought it was strangely dark when they played that inspirational love scene at the end with Tommy and Laurel staring affectionately at each other while Thea was barfing it up behind them completely in mental shambles. It came across as some kind of morbid gag I wasn't sure what to make of it.

I agree. I'm liking this version better than Sherlock so far actually, mostly because BBC's Holmes always had this air of arrogance about him. Miller's Sherlock has it too of course but he is a lot more up front about it and as a result more human somehow. I'll be tuning in the coming weeks for sure.

I can't believe this got a good grade, judging by the trailer I thought it was going to bomb terribly. Guess I'll give it a watch.

I agree. The surgery actually had me at the edge of my seat. How often does that occur with a PotW?
I felt like it was appropriate. House likes to punish himself. The fact that Cofield didn't assign blame to him might have made his feelings of guilt more salient because he did feel responsible emotionally (even though he would of course rationally never profess to it). I thought it was a nice ender, even if it won't…
