I guess for the same reason that my great aunt would tell me she was going to buy some more 'films' for her camera at the 'Wal-Marts'

That's how good Bruce Greenwood was in the role. He looked and acted just like Bruce Davison.

Robert Patrick has to ride the bus?!?!?!?!

I get that people can enjoy a video like that one, but at what point did we decide that kind of thing led straight to college scholarships and all that?

What's kind of interesting about the Wonder Woman credits is that Snyder & Heinberg got story credit as a writing team while Heinberg got a screenplay credit without Snyder. Presumably Snyder & Heinberg were hired to write at least one draft together, and then Heinberg was hired to write at least one draft himself

That I will accept.

'Create a new character' presumably means 'create an ongoing character'. Just having a one-off character be gay, while fine, isn't creating a character on par with having one of the main crew who shows up in every movie be gay.

"Um, Simon. We've been watching the original episodes, and it turns out that Scotty was missing a finger. We feel this is very important to Roddenberry's vision of the character, so we're going to need you to put your hand down on this butcher block…"

The thing to me is that the characters are already changed considerably. I can't, for example, imagine Leonard Nimoy's Pissed-Off Spock wailing on Khan on top of a garbage barge or hunkering down to make it with Uhura.

Sure, but he was a villain slated to die.

The man knew how to catalog a gaseous anomaly.

We only make movies of things that our target audience may have vaguely heard of one time though never actually seen themselves.

Like Skyler Jett.

I thought about Admiral Robocop, but I say that a relative of an existing character is barely an original character.

Is there a single original character in any of the new Star Trek movies?

I thought he was a crying on the inside kind of clown.

Guilty people have rights, too… I mean, I hope they do anyway, assuming I ever get caught.

They can fit a whole lot in their mouths.

I watched an episode the other day for the first time ever.

I blame Jay Leno for this.
