The review mentioned that no one leaves Wayward Pines, though Jenkins was shown in Seattle, presumably he leaves WP on a regular basis, I wouldn't be surprised if they showed someone accidentally getting out through that secret door. Or maybe if Ethan himself getting out in one if the future moments, only to be caught…
