I'm glad he's gone, because Coach was super broad and that contributed to the show going broader. I know it'll never get back to that season and a half of perfection, but I hope him being gone can kind of ground the show again. Jess falling down the stairs was an ominous sign though. Ugh. (Lots of good jokes, but man

It does, just was too lazy to do the whole caps letter/period/caps letter/period, etc thing. Although The Shield is on my list too after I finish the second tier shows.

Thankfully most of these look skippable as I zip through some B-level shows (finishing Continuum tonight, finishing Halt S1, seeing if Shield got any better, etc).
Although I would like to start the #FreeManuBennett movement. Get that guy on a prestige show!

Season 2 of New Girl might be my favorite season of comedy ever. Haven't rewatched it yet to be sure but it was something I had to see live when it aired. S3 gets off to an awful start by going too negative and the back half of 3 and S4 find their footing by abandoning plot progress for hijinks, which is better than

I don't remember a ton of it, but there were only 4 seasons and then a fifth years later that I doubt I watched. When did it turn bad for you? I seem to remember at least the first celebrity season still being good.

Really nice interview. I was never big into singing shows, more Survivor/The Mole/Big Brother/etc, but Cook was one of the few Idol contestants who really stuck out. His "Always Be My Baby" and "Time of my Life" are songs that I've meant to get back on my iPod after I lost them a while back.

Try the first Iron Man. It's my favorite by far and it doesn't have that franchise-y stench to it.

Also enjoy the early seasons because the late seasons get a little more frustrating and implausible.

Got back to watching TV with a rewatch of Young Justice Season 1 and Justice League as well as the first 2 seasons of Continuum.
Thinking they were leaving Netflix (still there somehow), I rewatched the above, and still believe Young Justice is the superior show. JL S1 just has too many clunkers. The 21-24 range of YJ

Didn't know S7 was nominated but that's a clear "legacy" nod, as they were running on creative fumes at that point. There's just way too many clunkers in there. 6 is an underrated choice. 3-6 are all about even for me.

I haven't seen either and having just learned Goggins is in The Shield, I feel obligated to watch that first.

It's kind of Parks-light for me, where I find it more cute and charming than uproarious. It would always be in my top 15-20 shows, but prob never in my top 5.

The series of The Clone Wars basically does re-do the prequels. So many awesome episodes and moments.

Going light this week after a crazy last 3 weeks of bingeing things to read/write year-end lists. Catching up on Bob's Burgers (took a big break after watching the first 3 seasons on Netflix), most of the way through Season 4 and it's more consistent but no real classics yet. Given a bunch of B+s and no total

You know it's Christmas when a Doctor Who episode only has 70-some comments hours after it posts.

I'm referring to the final half-season.

WHERE IS MAD MEN. I DEMAND MAD MEN.

I kind of read her post-Danny character as this PTSD-esque reaction to traveling with the Doctor and confronting death. Kind of turned into a daredevil.

I mostly liked it because it was the story of how far the Doctor would go for her, while acknowledging that they're bad for each other. The tension of what happened to Clara was enough for me (Gallifrey seems more like a season long storyline next year), although I don't know how it will play in the future when I

Gotta imagine another outlet would save it right? (Not obsessed with the show haha, I just love TV Hot Stove) CW is obvious, but seems the ratings floor would make it attractive to a network that is seeking safety unlike CBS.
