Unfair to count it because Part 1s are almost always better than Part 2s.

Agreed. When I was younger, I remember thinking he was progressive and fresh. Now he pre-records awful hot takes for NFL Today, the best part of which is when the hosts have to pretend he's live.

Weekly Scoreboard
Giving the week to Arrow B+ to B for a 5-3 advantage. The gas chamber felt extreme but Malcolm in the Arrow Suit was fantastic. It gets the edge over Flash, which had a couple sketchy parts with Patty in that she can't recognize Barry's voice and the rage thing kind of came out of nowhere. (BTW

Rome is by far my favorite, maybe because he doesn't even have to make it more ridiculous since Rome is already over the top.

I still hum "Shaq and the Super Laaaaakerrrrrrrrs"

Would it run away with it though? Gravity Falls and Steven universe seem to have a big following here (the support is why I checked them out in the last couple weeks)
(Oh, and BoJack has a large fanbase too)

The stories/the plot or is it always "conflict happens, conflict resolved" kind of thing.

So I watched the first half of Steven Universe Season 1 today. I like it enough, but curious: Is this the show it is or does it get deeper?

I haven't watched much of Quantico but the actress who plays Shelby was maybe the best part of Greek. For a show I was breezily binge watching at the time, I was rather pissed when her character left.

Voyager doesn't hit the raw highs of TNG's best (Measure of a Man, Best of Both Worlds, All Good Things), but its best episodes are good popcorn flicks that I find more entertaining than TNG. The premise will quickly underwhelm (the show never used it like it should have) but there's some really fun standalones.

I hadn't seen any of the "classic" seasons (I mean, I hadn't seen much of the show period, but the first few are the "culturally relevant" ones) and I'm just checking out as much TV as I can (to a point, I don't see myself watching old cop dramas or anything)

Ditto on Progress. Guessing Duet is your favorite, as that's the one I've seen lauded elsewhere. I'm intrigued that you started with DS9 since it's so different from the others. I'm partial to Voyager since it was the only one that kept my attention as a kid when my dad watched them.

It's a heck of a lot more enjoyable than normal speed! I mean, it's a show with often bad dialogue, no character development for villains and an extremely repetitive format. I slow it down when there's actual plot development (95% of which are premieres, finales, multi-parters and cast change episodes), but otherwise,

Yeah, Rebels more plays it for laughs, like Chopper's attitude and in the early episode where (can't remember) Kallus like pushed a trooper off a ledge so he could climb back up or something

I don't think their focus time has really been diluted much at all. They spent time on the Rodian dude and the other Stormtrooper trainees in S1 too, but those don't stick out because they were one offs. Other than Rex, who's only had a big role in one episode since the introduction, TCW characters really haven't been

I'm aware of the similarity but haven't gotten to Home Movies yet. It's on the to do list.

I haven't watched in forever, but it's more…don't let the plot developments ruin how you feel about the characters, because they course correct in a big way. There's a couple dumb plots that you have to let yourself forget.

Same here, didn't click at first. I locked in when the Pesto twins got going early S2.
