Clone Wars eventually became an adult show conforming to kid standards though.

Look up the timeline for the show. It makes it much better. The first 2.5 seasons jump around.
Yeah, I love the classic pastel Cloud City skies look, but the vibrant worlds of Clone Wars are/were amazing.
I thought Zeb was the weak link. His lines made me cringe.
I actually had pretty big expectations because I had been saving it until I slogged through TNG and then watched DS9, assuming it was better than either. I changed my plan when finding BSG was leaving Netflix. I actually totally missed that his cat was dead because I would watch it while also surfing the net and just…
I just got so bored so quickly with Baltar conversing with her and getting manipulated. I never caught on to where it was going because it didn't hold my interest enough to make me really think about it. I did like it when we learned Six was having the exact same thing. At that point it became better.
OK, when I say the trial was awesome I mean Lee's speech. I wasn't invested enough to really care about the proceedings but it was one of those Crowning Moments of Awesome kind of things.
Adama living alone perplexed me because it was clear he was never seeing Lee or Starbuck again, as opposed to "We want to live out…
Hey BSG peeps, new viewer here. I managed to watch the entire series in the last two weeks it was on Netflix. Here are my thoughts (SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY):
Then keep going, you'll love most of what's coming, a cluster of politics episodes aside. Some GREAT action in early and late in S3, plus phenomenal arcs midway in S4.
Ah, that's the one I was guessing.
Did you like S2E5 Landing at Point Rain? That's one of the best. Episodes 12-14 of Season 2 are a VERY good arc, with the middle episode being the best. It's classic Star Wars in terms of banter with a hard-hitting ending.
Actually, yes. There's a fantastic 3 part arc in Season 4 where Rex, Anakin's lead clone trooper, joins them in a mission where they are put into slavery to rescue a race of people. And then there's a 4 part arc in Season 6 about the origins of Order 66.
She's like that in exactly one episode (the sixth episode), where the animation is so shoddy it's obvious it was among the first made (which production order confirms). She gets way better and the show isn't afraid to put her in her place either. She has one of the most rewarding character arcs in all of TV.
I never read SW books, so what was the Thrawn maneuver?
I like his Star Wars shorts but man I could not get into Samurai Jack at all. I wanted to watch it at double speed since there's basically no speaking.
The animation gets way better all around. Less choppy, more vibrant, etc. I'd link to clips but the scenes I'm thinking of are rather spoilery. I'd recommend giving it a second shot and just have your finger hovering on the fast forward button for the politics episodes.
They're on YouTube.
Oh man you're just about to hit the really freaking awesome stuff.
Upvoted because you called him Josh, as if you personally advised him on this.
Speaking as someone who just finished the series, the weird thing is it's still on the Netflix version.
