One of the things I like about "Bob's Burgers" is that some of the episodes are actually about running a burger place. So many comedies these days will off-handedly establish a character's job, sometimes just for the sake of a joke, and then forget about it because the show isn't about the job. (What does Peter

I'm ashamed to say that this weekend was my first Kurosawa experience. When I found out about the Hulu thing, I put aside my normal weekend viewing habits, watched Rashomon on Saturday and The Hidden Fortress on Sunday.

When I was a boy, blowing up the moon was just a beautiful dream.  Now it's science fact!

"…and I'm all out of bubblegum."

I always got the impression that the series was created to be a sort of portfolio piece for the newly-formed Australian branch of Jim Henson's Creature Shop. (Of course, if they don't have an Australian branch, then my whole theory falls apart)

I stuck with it for the first 2 seasons, I think. Definitely an attempt to copy Farscape, in terms of having weird sc-fi concepts and wacky alien designs.

Sometimes I think ad people know you're not paying attention, so they just try to do something that evokes a feeling or mood, without regard to whether it makes any sense. Kinda sorta like subliminal messaging, but not quite.
