I toured for three weeks with the opener on the Wake of Magellan tour. We played some crappy venues with small but enthusiastic crowds. "Last legs" is the phrase I would have used, though. Yeah I was on the Four tour with the opening band for about ten shows. He had a sponsor with him who would be backstage in his PJs waiting to take Scott to the bus.

I knew a guy who wrote for the Eagle. He was telling me how he had just interviewed a band called Public Affection, but that they were changing their name to Live. I was pretty "whatever" about it in my head at the time. I bet if this were 1990 he would be stoked.
