. . . And now back to Gene Krupa's syncopated style shortly . . .

I was just getting into Starwipe. The perfect blend of AV Club snark about real topics mixed with Onion sarcasm and parody!

This got rid of the "poor me's" I was feeling today.

One thing I find interesting is bands that are still going to play who release statements supporting the LGBTQ community. It may seem like a small gesture, but people like Gregg Allman aren't exactly preaching to the choir, so maybe it can spawn seeds of tolerance.

I never got to go to Union Transfer before I moved out to Lancaster, but I wanted to check it out. I was working at the North Star Bar in the early 2000's so bands just came to me (haha). While I am proud of the work I did at the North Star, I wish it was more accommodating to bands overall. Having been to the Metro a

I bought a work shirt off of the owner back in 2002 or 2003, if I remember correctly. He took old mechanic type shirts and slapped his logo on the back. Very cool looking, except my name isn't "Lonnie". I don't know if he still does that. For a touring band that had no following, it was a great place to play, since a

Oh, I understand. It was more a comment on how she seemed "addicted" to her new life in a "Where are they now?" interview that for some reason I still remember. Her behavior was a perfect example of that Cheech & Chong line.

"I used to be all messed up on drugs. Now I'm all messed up on the Lord."

When my household runs out of something I'm looking for, my go to phrase is "We're out of Monkey!"

I toured for three weeks with the opener on the Wake of Magellan tour. We played some crappy venues with small but enthusiastic crowds. "Last legs" is the phrase I would have used, though. Lots of local openers to increase ticket sales, and one was even called Stonehenge! A bunch of the shows were around the NYC area

Yeah I was on the Four tour with the opening band for about ten shows. He had a sponsor with him who would be backstage in his PJs waiting to take Scott to the bus.

I knew a guy who wrote for the Eagle. He was telling me how he had just interviewed a band called Public Affection, but that they were changing their name to Live. I was pretty "whatever" about it in my head at the time. I bet if this were 1990 he would be stoked.

When somebody is in my way I say "You're like VISA, everywhere I want to be!" I came up with it one day when the drummer and I tried to set up at the time.

Can't Focus

If my initials were C and F I would become an Optometrist and open CF Eyecare.

Take Shelter - Thanks Internet! I was watching The Harvest a few weeks ago and couldn't remember what I had just seen Michael Shannon mumble through.

I've got Gouch!

It sounds like a stereo file collapsed to mono that is causing comb filtering. I want to fix it so badly.

Well that explains why we played the WWE theater in NYC opening for his other band Stone Sour during their first tour.

Me too. As a kid I thought Jackie Paper died so it upset me. Now as an adult I know better, but I feel sorry that Puff was abandoned.
