I tried to check the credits, but didn't catch anything… was Late For Dinner (Charlie's source) voiced by Robert Guillaume, or am I just wishing the entire Sorkin universe has imploded on itself?

I can't speak to the iPad or iPhone app, but Live Extra on the web site has worked beautifully for me the past 5 days, even during the high-volume events like gymnastics, swimming, and now track.  Only negative has been the abundance of annoying BMW ads, but even those only pop up between events, not in the middle of

@eric827:disqus I recognize they have a vested interest.  But to me, there's a difference between promoting and defending, and the interviews I've read with them, especially in NYMag, go further.  Pill has said if cameras followed her around the entire time, they'd see how she is a huge klutz and constantly falling

In lieu of arguing any point, I will simply say thanks for overlooking my fuck-up.  Clearly I meant Nancy McNally.  Despite my disregard for her character name, I always liked her as a recurring, so I tossed her off instead of the usual suspects.

You know, it's a dead heat between Sorkin and his critics for who's more smug.  It's possible to disagree with Scott's grade and not be a dimwit.  Some of us think Bad Sorkin is still better than 75% of scripted TV, so a grade like a D+ for a good-not-great episode of TV with good production values and a mostly solid

I did read that post, and the other 500+ after it, because apparently I'm as much of a sadist as the people hate-watching this show, and I respectfully disagree with his/her analysis.  I see where the point comes from, but to me, the show's romanticism extends far beyond Sorkin (or the characters) own political

I will readily admit this show is the 4th best attempt at TV from Aaron Sorkin.  There are flaws.  But after watching this episode and thinking it was the strongest example in 4 episodes of what Sorkin does best (screwball romantic comedy into melodrama), I was disappointed but not surprised to see a gleeful D+ review

@Gentle: I get the snark on the oversaturation of Apatow and friends, but this is Apatow directing himself… which in features has only happened twice before (Knocked Up/40 Year Old Virgin). I tend to rate those higher than the "and friends" movies, so I think it's legitimate for people to have higher expectations
