Yeah, it's dumb. It's basically shouting "See what you made me do!" over the ruins of health care system.

I guess he meant it cuts costs for the government? Or maybe insurance companies?

Who knows what Trump really thinks of Huntsman? Maybe he thinks Huntsman rolled over for China, or maybe he just reflexively shouts "Failure! Loser!" about anything Obama related, and has no strong opinion on Huntsman?

Yeah, it's a dumb idea, seemingly based on the premise that nobody expects actual policy from Trump. But Trump is a dumb man that doesn't care about policy, so who knows what he'll do.

They had got a repeal bill on Obama's desk, via Senate rules nonsense (I think classifying as a budget item?) It was a symbolic move at the time, but now there are some that just want to do that again now that Trump will sign it.

There are some rumors that Trump's backup plan is to deliberately run the ACA into the ground, then blame Democrats for passing it in the first place. Or, he may just run it into the ground out of incompetence, and will try to scapegoat someone. Either way is dumb and cruel.

It was an empty slogan. They never really thought about what they actually want from the healthcare system, and are trying to apply the standard "tax cuts for the rich" that they use on everything. They are also underestimating how many Tea Partiers are only interested in one half of Repeal an Replace.

Yes, there is talk of cutting Medicare in May 2018, if the bill passes. The question Republicans have to ask themselves is : why are we doing this? What problem are we solving? The obvious answers are tax cuts for the rich, but still.

Also, anybody else bothered by the media focus on Republicans that don't think Ryan's plan goes far enough? I guess that placing less emphasis on Democrats could undercut the "us vs them" binary that got Trump elected, but it's pushing a disturbing narrative about what ACAs flaws are.

Paul Ryan has explicitly stated that his main priority with healthcare reform was cutting costs, not providing healthcare. So, when people are dying in the street, at least it'll be cheap.

He just straight up lied about policy. That's a big deal, is not something which should be written off. He's literally doing the exact opposite of what he said he would do—people that supported him should be furious

But yeah, so much for Trump's 'coverage for everybody for less cost' rambling. I mean, he was clearly talking out his ass, bit come on, somebody has to call him out on this, right?

Some Republican senators are concerned about the plan providing too little coverage, while the House is concerned it provides too much. The odds they'll be able to compromise aren't high, especially given they're relaying on the leadership of Ryan and Trump, but nothing is in stone yet.

New GOP Healthcare: basically the plot of Get Out, but also to poor white people.

Muslim Ban 2: Judgement Day was unveiled to a slightly more positive response. Iraq has praised the fact that they were left out of the ban, which is almost disturbingly servile. (The Battle of Mosul is bloodier than anticipated). It clarified that it doesn't apply to current green card holders, because that was just

Tonights Jeopardy was like the Super Bowl, except better because there wasn't any Tom Brady.

Also, House Republicans are still upset that it's "Obamacare lite." Presumably their ideal plan would involve harvesting the poor for organs.

GOP replacement plan will cover half as many as the ACA, increase costs on most of those it does cover, and defunds Planned Parenthood, but at least insurance executives finally get a break.

So, there's only two things on a night now?

Admitting to a crime while viciously insulting the person asking is something else.
