Yeah, definitely one of the best of 2017.
- Watching live videos of Frank Ocean performing last week had me go back to listen to Blonde again and man, it's been almost one year and it still holds up. It's hard to pick one favorite song from the album, but I'll choose "Seigfried." Especially the way he sings, "I'd do anything for you(In the dark)." =( Also,…
Well, in the new review, he says that her voice has matured well enough that it's time for her to go solo. Progress!
Yup, after I said that, I saw his review in the paper that day. It was much more mild compared to the last one, although it's clear he still doesn't like them.
I wonder if Chris Richards from The Washington Post will review this. His review for Reflektor is legendary just for how much he hated Arcade Fire.
I also liked that TV special they did that aired after SNL when they were promoting Reflektor. I wish more bands did that.
Yeah, Flower Boy is Tyler's best work so far. "911/Mr. Lonely" is stuck in my head, between the smooth beat and Frank Ocean's verse("chirp chirp").
Yeah, it's great. You would think the song would run out of steam or get repetitive but it never does.
- Been going through Sheila E.'s catalog, and I must say, her self-titled third album(the last one she worked extensively with Prince before she left his camp) is underrated. "Koo Koo" is a delight.
Probably. Same for Tyler the Creator.
Ok, you got my attention. I hope they go on wacky cross-country adventures, robbing places while somehow evading the FBI.
Heh, the clean version of the album cover raises the water so it covers her butt. Just saw it on iTunes right now.
That's because there's an f-bomb in the lyrics("I know, you know that I ain't cheatin' baby/They know this is serious/I ain't fuckin' just for kicks, No").
Yeah, two decades in, he still has one of the best voices in rap.
It's not overpriced either. There's the standard $9.99 version, similar to Apple Music and then there's the $19.99 version for hi-def audio.
I think so. Give it a shot.
Ah! I was trying to figure out where I saw her from.
The new Jay-Z album has been in heavy rotation, along with Calvin Harris' new album, which I never thought I would ever say but here we are.
Get her a Tidal subscription. ;)
