I like the point about Raylan's idea of fatherhood.  Expanding on that it seems like to him a father isn't present, they are providing.  I imagine Arlo was always running some scam or some such thing.

I understand the guy dumped on's reaction but everyone else was absurd.  They didn't react to the Poe mask with fear or anything as he walked through them.  He 'slipped into the crowd'.

I never once considered it was fake because I thought why bother?  I have only seen the show a couple times and never was I like "Oh that shit is nice".

I'm a little more sympathetic to his situation tonight.  He is basically bringing in a 'top notch' doctor.  It's a moderately interesting if unsubtle nod to the faith put in prestige in their culture.  This guy delivers royals.  Of course he's more competent than the silly village doctor.  Everything in Roger's life…
