I loved her and I regret nothing.

I wish I had the money to ironically fund an ironic kickstarter. Stupid drinking problem.

I would watch the shit out of The Cynthia Purley Show.

Happy Endings wasn't even Happy Endings yet after two episodes.

That's what I love about the ending. Some random-ass guy trying to say grace before dinner like a bajillion other people across the country, while these people we've gotten used to over five hours look at him like "What the fuck is this?"

I'm hoping Season 2 makes this work, because as much as I love the last scene, that whole development is my single biggest reservation about the season. I cannot wrap my head around the logistics of it based on what we've seen.

I've really appreciated Soloway's candid response to the criticism. Basically, "I didn't think it through at the time, but I believe this is going to be hailed whenever we get to the point where trans actors enough work where this casting won't be considered backhanded." The bigger picture is frustrating, but I agree.

I believe that's correct, and was my second-favorite moment in the whole season. Light crushed it pretty hard this season.

"BECAUSE, MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL, YOU CAN NOT *DO* AAANYYYTHIIIIIIING!" I haven't gotten around to rewatching the season yet, and won't for a while, but I've rewatched that scene several times. Stunning capper for Tambor's performance this season, as well as the scene that made me fully appreciate just how goddamn good

It's aged so well, and is one for the "If only it debuted 10 years later" files. But at the same time, it probably wouldn't work as well if it didn't originally air in '05 or whenever— knowing the direction that pop culture has gone in since then, that last scene in the finale feels like the gates of hell being opened.

"Fuck. Fuck, Fuck, Fuck. Fuuuuck? FUCK! (sighs) Fuck…" —Kathy Bates

Even only for two episodes, I love that a ghost with a second demonface that whisks freaks to hell in a cloud of green smoke is his idea of a small supernatural element. Big Pussy popping up in the mirror at Livia's funeral is a small supernatural element. This is the work of a Goddamn crackhead.

I'm still impressed that Bates is pulling off an honest-to-god performance somewhere underneath that crazyass accent.

I spent more time than I want to admit trying to guess what LDR they were going to make Lange do, and I was pleasantly surprised by Gods and Monsters. For the record, I had money on Born to Die, with Cruel World as a dark horse.

I love her and I hope this show adopts her.

I'll still vouch for the sequence where Lana realizes figures out Thredson is Bloody Face is being a genuinely well-orchestrated horror sequence. I was genuinely creeped out by everything from Nipple Lamp to the trap door, and "I took her teeth" was genuinely upsetting. But short of that, no, this has never been a

It's never really been a longform horror movie so much as it's been the result of an experiment performed in a lab filled with deranged gay scientists. It's best to adjust expectations accordingly.

He also said that this season wouldn't contain supernatural elements. Oops.

(Files petition for American Horror Story: Drunk History starring Kathy Bates)

I think I mentioned it somewhere else but it bears repeating: Dandy and Meep both killed animals for entertainment, but one is painted as a lunatic, and one is painted as a pure-of-heart innocent too different for this world because Ryan Murphy is fucking awful at social commentary.
