So instead of being on an incredible sitcom this fall
She's going to be on a 20 years past-its-prime late-night dinosaur? Yay NBC! Shine on you crazy diamond, keeping doing stupid shit and destroying the network!

Ripert is totally the bizarro Toby. Toby is the worst kind of critic. He is the Jim DeRogatis of food criticism. If he didn't have to actually consume food to live, he wouldn't, that's how much he appears to hate food whenever he opens that puckered asshole that he calls a mouth.

Variety
loves using obscure words to make readers feel stupid. It's part of their overall plan to make outsiders feel dumb. Obscure words, insider terminology and asinine abbreviations that no one actually uses. So no, don't tip your hat to Variety. Take a dump in that hat and make Variety wear it while parading them

The way that Warren Beatty feels about Sexy Rexy in Empire Records
and how if Axl saw him on the side of the road he wouldn't stop, he'd just drive right into him. That is how I now feel about Axl Rose.

Ripert as a TV judge reminds me of what I love about Ebert. You can tell that Ripert really loves to cook. It's not just something he's incredibly talented at but he really f'ing loves food and he doesn't care where it comes from or who is making it. Ebert is the same way, you just know he really loves film. Some art

I'm pretty sure Ripert shows up in the one NR episode where Tony goes back to cook at Les Halles for a day. it's awesome.

his struggle is man's struggle

Didn't the continuation of The Keys
air over the summer or something? i seem to recall some strange programming where it was on but not part of the rest of season 4. Anyone?

Ripert and Bourdain
They need to have a show together.

I can't believe she didn't say "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger"

Amanda's exit interview
Could she have used any more cliches? No wonder she's such an unimaginative chef.

Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara
would have been the only thing that got me to see Meet the Parents the Deuce, or Meet the Parents the Deuce plus the #1

Damn…I knew I recognized her from somewhere when I started watching "Treme"

But…what happened at Arrested Development!
Tell us Tambor, tell us!

Green Day blows
that is all

That woman
is she in "Treme" or does Antoine's wife just look a lot like her?

Why does a novelty company
Need such a huge customer service call-center in the first place? You can't do that job with two people in an office somewhere in this country?

I don't know, Rumor and MacGuffin, just seem like they're meaningful names in a show about conspiracies and codes and secrets.

Ari Gold vs. Jeremy Piven
At some point, unbelievably, I started liking the character of Ari Gold more than the real person of Jeremy Piven. Never thought that would happen.

I was thinking the same thing about his apartment. For some reason I really noticed his apartment and not just because it's been shown quite a bit.
