I don't know the specifics of Conan's contract, but there is some sort of $50-80 mill early release penalty that NBC will have to pay him. I don't know what that means if he refuses to move to 11:05 or goes to another network. There's also something in his deal where he will make $20 million/year for however long his

Unobtainium
seriously? That's real? I thought it was a joke in another review I read…that's just awful, awful, awful. That's the best he could do?

The smoking habits
Kind of bugged me since Robin was the only person they ever referenced smoking. I think it would have been funnier to have each person with their own bad habit that they need to break as another step towards adulthood

The Rushmore scene
One of the greatest moments of Bill Murray's career…huzzah Tobias for recognizing the awesomeness of that scene. I feel like I never hear people talking about it. Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

A few thoughts
I'm still really unsure who The Observers are and I could have sworn that Bell said they were the "bad guys". But I can't remember when he said that. Also, why do these guys need to open a door to "our" earth? Can't they already get here? And how do they get here exactly?

The show were actors went to die
Looking on IMDB, no one from this show did anything after it was over. Eerie

Season 2
is this a full season or only 13 episodes?

I love AD
but the last season was spotty at best. A movie would make up for that

L Ron was a sci-fi writer…maybe PTA has to change things up a little, or else those piece of shit cultists will sue him.

The Top Chef winner
I feel like the preview for next week spoiled everything…you can tell which direction Padma is looking at when she says "you are the top chef" you also see how the 3 finalists are lined up. at least you have a 50/50 idea of who wins.

The Observers
Now I need to go back and rewatch early episodes from this season, but I swear that at some point someone, perhaps William Bell, was painting The Observers as the bad guys, which greatly disappointed me. Am I just imagining that?

The goal of food
is to first nourish you and then second make you feel good on a psychological level. That's why Kevin is a better chef than Michael. Michael's comment about food he cooks on his day off proves that he wants to make food that makes everyone who doesn't know what it is feel dumb. Also, since I can't

Also…Chicago
I'd really like to know why the V Logo still that is used in all the ads and "next week on V" features the CHicago skyline…not that i mind, just weird since it takes place in NYC

The writers did not know
I'm pretty sure that when this show was first put together, probably in early 2009, the writers didn't know that it was going to be put on such a horrible schedule.

Tyler should have left the band
before he grew a vagina, circa right before Get a Grip

Yes the Shadow Man ep of the X-Files featured Tony Shaloub as the FOTW who's shadow killed people by in a similar manner…they just sort of vaporized when they stepped into his shadow. Can't remember why this happened, I think he was a scientist, there were gamma rays, sadly he didn't get turned into a superhero

That woman knows her way around a penis
Is the funniest thing I've heard on TV in this new fall season

Wasn't Hank also in trouble
for calling his dad a "crumbumb"? Not sure if that's how you spell that

Dear AV Club Writers
Stop writing full reviews for sci-fi TV pilots. Every time, you say that "like all sci-fi pilots it has a cram a lot of exposition into a small period of time" or something like that. Instead for sci-fi pilots simply write "watch this" or "don't waste your time"

All of the dishes looked terrible in the elimination challenge.
