Although—and this may be circular thinking—if he loves his mother and has a good relationship with her, maybe that means being raised by someone like Betty isn't so bad after all? I recall from one psychology class I took (and it was undergrad, so feel free to take it with a grain of salt), there was a theory that

I noticed that look as well and I actually interpreted that as another possibility, which is that Ginger's reads come across as nasty rather than playful and that Violet is tired of it.

I just watched Untucked. A few thoughts:

I hope they stop trading Carson in for Ross next season and just have Ross there permanently. He's been great.

Latrice is a better lip-syncher too, I think.

I think my favorite line of the entire season might be "That was a nice funeral." Kennedy is not my favorite, but that killed me.

I just love that she's so weird—absurd and bizarre and hilarious in the most wonderful way. It's like she's a drag queen, but also maybe a giant dork? And I love that, probably because I can relate to it. Well, the dork part at least. :)

Oh, absolutely. Her fashion sense is killer. Her makeup is great, too.

So happy to see another Katya win. It had seemed for a few weeks now that a Ginger win was inevitable, but I'm wondering (hoping!) that the late-season LSFYLs might mean she's not invulnerable and give Katya a fighting chance.

I like her more than I was expecting to, as well. I feel like it's because she's not really whiny, as some other fishy queens have been in the past when forced to do something besides be pretty. She might not perform well all the time (though her dancing this episode was quite good), but she at least throws herself

But do we really know that Violet spent longer in a tighter corset? She could have loosened slightly at some point and we just might not have seen it. This is one of the few cases where I'm really inclined to believe that the edit was just bizarre.

I'm inclined to believe it. It's a detailed and logical explanation and she'd been so professional up until that point (or at least as much as we'd seen) that the behavior was seemingly our-of-character.

I'd be good with that top 3 as well.

Yeah, I was actually nodding along with Violet when she rolled her eyes and talked about Ru stirring the shit. It was almost as if Ru can tell the season has shaped up to be pretty boring so far and is trying to be manipulative to shake that up. Reality TV is always manipulative to an extent, but there was something

I thought I would be the only twisted person to be hoping for that. I should have known The A.V. Club wouldn't disappoint!

The slimiest part was that at the beginning of the conversation, he managed to seem sincerely interested in letting the past be the past and helping Megan out of kindness. Ick.

Svetlana Khorkina? Because that would be amazing.

I kind of loved how uncomfortable Katya looked sitting between them. I know it's TV, so it could all be a huge act, but her look just screamed "Holy shit, I can be bitchy but not that bitchy."

As I understand, severe alcoholism can lead to symptoms that resemble that of other mental diseases (e.g. paranoia).

Indeed he was. And the pessimist in me worries the same will happen for Hamm, though I wish fervently that it won't.
