I hope so, though I keep hearing Sepinwall's refrain that Steve Carrell never won an Emmy for playing Michael Scott…
I thought he seemed a little too disturbed by it, and also surprised by it, for it to be just a daydream.
We are.
He might perhaps be insecure, but my impression was that in the Mad Men world, he's supposed to be an objectively excellent writer (to the extent anything as subjective as literature can ever be objectively good or bad).
I posted more or less the same before reading further down the thread.
…except wouldn't he have been much happier just taking the severance and becoming a writer? Revenge may seem sweet in the short term, but his overall happiness will be a lot lower.
I also really love Freddy post-sobriety. I rewatched the first half of Season 7 this past week and was reminded that Freddy was the one person who managed to get Don to get his shit together (well, as much as Don can anyway). Thinking about it more, I realized that this was essentially a selfless act, given that…
I had that same question. So I guess the mechanism just broke, maybe?
Agreed. She was completely unpolished at first, but her talent was obvious from the get-go. Not so the case with Pearl.
Ugh, why did you have to remind me of Kenya's 'Natural Woman' performance?
Who would win the fight? I'm guessing Phillip dies first, but then Elizabeth goes into a rage and kills both Lana and Archer.
He was on Parks & Rec for very brief (and very funny) cameos in the final episode of season 6 and the first episode of season 7.
I think this is the first time I actually realized that the 22 year old queens would have been 15 or 16 during the first season. I hadn't given this that much thought before. It puts a new spin on it that I'll have to pay attention to in coming weeks.
Except that Trinity did actually manage that in the stand-up episode.
Shit, I did not know that. That sucks. :( I hope she has recovered well.
She is, but that was sort of my point. We have followed other characters after their paths have diverged from Litchfield—Polly, Larry, Alex—but once her path diverged, she disappeared from the show entirely.
Oh my God, I teared up during each of their last few scenes.
I really loved Rosa's backstory. We barely spent any time with her last year and she was in many ways forgettable (it took me until this season to learn her name, despite watching Season 1 twice), but the point of OITNB is that no one should be forgettable. I'm looking forward to many of the more obscure characters…
I was surprised by how much they were around considering the show's willingness to cut characters otherwise (no Miss Claudette in sight and only one mention of her the whole season).
