Nothing like an episode and half's worth of chase scenes!

Saw this in the theatre here in China with my wife (who is Chinese). She loved it and was calling all of her friends afterwards to make sure they knew to go see it. Me, on the other hand…. well, I didn't want to rain on her parade, so I kept my mouth mostly shut.

Not that anyone is reading this comment thread anymore, but I just wanted to say that the score for this video game is great; it's done by the same dude that scores the amazing Hannibal TV show - Brian Reitzell. Too bad it looks like the game stinks though…

That Silver Mount Zion album was frustrating. Musically, I enjoyed a lot of what was going on. But so much of it was just ruined by his horrible, awful, grating singing. It honestly sounds like he is trying to not sing well, which makes it even more annoying. A truly great singer would have elevated that album to

Yeah, they sure did for a while. But since the trilogy came out on Ipecac in (was it 1999?), they have out out a ton of great albums. You hear King Buzzo's acoustic album and EP from this year? Great stuff.

And just like a lot of new technology, there are always those who don't really understand it. When the two cops at the end are talking, it seemed to me that the guy didn't really know exactly what he was doing; he was just like "Yeah, 1000 years a minute" without thinking about the consequences.

Tripp, is that you…?

I've been listening to a lot of 1994 albums this year (as part of a college radio show I do), and I'm still amazed at how many good albums came out that year. I think they've been covered in detail on the site here when they did their 1994 feature, but to highlight just a few: any release by Beck, Shellac's first

Endtroducing is one of the best trip hop albums ever. Still one of my favourites from the 90's, period.

Check out Thee Oh Sees "Carrion Crawler/The Dream" from a few years back. Great stuff.

The table's flipped, now we got all the coconuts, bitch!!

That Boris track is indeed awesome - too bad it's the only great thing on that album….

Upvoted for Ty Segall - what a great record that is

Any of you guys notice that the community grade is back? I went back to my favourite old Who stories and put in my vote. Abstaining from this one for now as it's not so clear in my memory and coming up soon in my Tom Baker years rewatch (which I've been putting off since the next story is Underworld, which I

They have them in China. They're referred to as "wu mao" (5 cents) trolls because that's how much money they get for every comment they write in support of the government. You don't really run into them in places like this though. They're everywhere on the Chinese internet. In English, they're mostly on popular

The finale was quite good. I'm in the same situation as you - nothing else to really watch right now, and been nursing a cold the last few days, so I just marathoned them all. It has become a consistently mediocre, occasionally quite good show. I'm still not going shit my pants over it just yet. I have a real

I love every episode of the Foo Fighters show…right up until the time when their super crappy music pops up…

Agreed. No reason to obsess over which one is better - they're going for different things, and both achieve their goals beautifully. Amazing television.

Mad Men left me irritated. It so clearly was one season split in half that I just felt unsatisfied when it ended. 7 episodes is too short for one of their seasons, which are often slow-burns that need time to build to something great. Maybe that's just me…
