There was a follow-up to that bristly PiL interview some years later, and Snyder and Lydon got on quite a bit better.

When I was a wee'un I lettered "Dawn Treader" on my then-girlfriend's family's sailboat [per their request] and few folks knew what the Hell that referred to.

I love that book.  I read it sitting on a sunny meadow in Red Lodge, Montana, which seemed at odds with the murky depths of the narrative.

You guys're so right.  I read As I Lay Dying, The Hamlet, The Reivers, The Sound And The Fury, Collected Stories and Intruder In The Dust Last Year.  Faulkner is The Man.

Just wrapped up Don Quixote yesterday and started Absalom, Absalom last night.

I've got the TT running through an old Pioneer receiver [has a phono preamp] and using Audacity for the A/D conversion.

I've begun ripping my old vinyl [found and fixed up an old Technics SL-D2 deck and gave it a nice old Shure cart/stylus] and dug out the Clash dub in the collection, eg. 'Bankrobber' and its versions, 'Armagideon Time' and its versions as well along with some really neat dub from Jah Wobble with Jaki Liebzeit and…
