I am also totally baffled by this trend and don't understand the appeal at all. It seems to be a really prevalent thing, though, at least from the….research I've done online.

There's a very fine line between paying homage to the original trilogy and imitating it, and I don't think TFA was on the correct side of that line for most of the film. It was a fun film, don't get me wrong, but they lost me a bit at the "BTW, we also have a death star" moment.

I have to admit that the first time I tried Eastern Carolina-style sauce, I thought it was an absolute abomination, but I'll be damned if it didn't grow on me over the years (I'm a VA resident that travels frequently to NC.) At least the ketchup-based sauce is readily available everywhere else in the BBQ world for

Billy's can get tricky if you're adding on the optional doors. You have to get those screwed in perfectly or they won't line up correctly. I have two Hemnes dressers that both went together fine, though. The key is to not ignore that first step where you count and sort all the materials. Makes it much easier to

Dammit! I thought me and that elephant had something special.

Just be glad he's dead. The last critic of that book ended up making a cameo in his next book as a micro-penised child rapist:

Traffic is pretty terrible in the area, but I think that particular family legend may have been embellished a bit over time.

I live right near there! Hard to imagine how much worse a major theme park would make the region's traffic and congestion issues.

Speaking of playground equipment made from old tires, growing up, my elementary school literally had a playground made out of old tires. They had tire pyramids to climb up, tire chain bridges to walk across, etc. It was fun. Of course, they got hot as fuck in the summer time and you'd always come in from recess

Until you spill some coffee on it.

True Whole Foods story: One time I was in there with family, and as we were checking out, we decided to add two bags of ice for a gathering we were having later. The cashier added them to our bill and we walked back to the freezer to pick them up. On our way there, we all had a good laugh thinking of crazy ways a

It's classic Like-farming. Give them a stupidly easy question, but tell them that they're a genius if they get it. Nobody can pass up the urge to show off how brilliant they are, so the post spread all around. Then they sell it to another business and you're forced to explain to your elderly relatives why Facebook

Those were the days…Used to watch 2-3 episodes of 90s era SNL a day. The only problem was that they had to cut a lot of the weirder stuff for syndication. Out of morbid curiosity, I used to want to see just how bad the cold opens/host monologues were on those rare episodes that went straight to the opening credits
