I spent a few minutes racking my brain to place where I'd seen her before but couldn't be bothered enough to hit up IMDB. Thank you for this.

The lack of AVClub coverage made me turn to Sepinwall's personal blog for that and I have to give it to the man, his analysis was excellent.

I've watched my fair share of Friends and all of New Girl and I think you're being a little harsh on the newer show. The characters of New Girl are much better realized and more layered than anything Friends was able to create.

Talent. The women are clearly talented developers and great entrepreneurs so for a lump sum Gross/Sergey gets to have them crank out new stuff for ChumHum/Google. In Valley speak, this kind of thing is called an acqui-hire where you buy out a company you have little to no use for because you want the people who built…

I thought Gross/Sergey Brin had just straight up acquired Margarita for about the same amount of money he would have paid to settle with them. That way the kids get their money and Gross/Brin gets to screw over Lockhard Gardner. Court costs they can pay out of the acquisition money but its likely to be a lot less than…

They're unashamed in their courting of nerds with episodes like this.

I have to disagree and say that the Peter/Olivia restaurant scene was actually one of the better moments of the episode. It's difficult for me to explain why, but I think for the most part it comes down to having spent a lot of time with these characters which makes their emotional outpours to each other very…

I'm surprised I didn't know what a yellow crayon is and had to look that up. To be fair, I was also too young to watch Buffy growing up and since I started seriously watching TV a couple of years ago, the amount of good content has been ridiculous. There hasn't been much time to catch up on the oldies. Except Twin…

It looked more like the neighborhoods I saw in the Frontline episode on Syria than Beirut which I imagine looks quite different.

He may be looking out for his country, but his blatant disregard for the people in the Middle East and his willingness to consider them a homogenous anti-American populace is not how a statesman should think or behave in the 21st century.

No, I liked him too. But I also like Dana a lot as well and most people don't. She manages to nail that frustrated teenager attitude without being annoying at all. If she had a less uptight mom than Jessica, I think their relationship would be more banter than conflict.
