I think Tallman was the weakest actor of all the major characters.  The character itself is so great, though.

I actually don't understand why having a background in stage acting would be bad.  For one thing, didn't Furlan (Delenn) have a similar background?  Also, G'Kar and Londo behave very stage-theatrically and they are the most loved actors on the show.  Besides, I think B5 was generally filmed/directed like a stage play…
