I took an ex to riddick on a first or second date. She got her revenge when The Notebook was our 3rd date.

Well I guess it violates the rock or punk DIY ethos and "we're all in it together" spirit of like when the Ramones made a debut record for 8 cents or whatever the story is now.

On paper I should kinda hate SD because of all the stuff you say and I know that but… damnit they're one of my favorite groups.  At the end of the day, a catchy hook, a nice groove and yes, some cool sounding lyrics is gonna work its magic over folks.

It's cool to keep an open mind and try new things and all but there's no record (or film or book or whatever) that you or anyone HAS to like.

Even though there are slight differences in texture and sound, the Dan's music is pretty much the same throughout its existence.  It's one of those either you dig it or you don't.  I can't imagine someone loving one SD record and hating another.

that is pretty cool

That's some nice fanwank.

That's some nice fanwank.

I think the point of the fantasy Jadzia- well, the secondary point since the primary is to give us nerds some eye-candy- was to temper Bashir's pathetic crushing with a reminder that he's actually a decent guy.

Another one comes to mind not listed on that site: Data is playing violin and asks Spock's step-mother to choose from three violinists' styles, 3rd one is made-up.

Well by classic rock I was thinking of like, the establishment corporate rock, whatever that is at the time.  When the Clash were around, that was like Boston and Zeppelin and, I guess… Styx?  And when Nirvana was around that was the "hair metal."

I'm a total PJ fanboy and love all of their albums very much.

Punk rock started the whole idea of rockers who seem like they have to be "anti-rock" or whatever, be it sound or style.  Then grunge did it, "alternative," indie, etc…

It's pure nostalgia to me.  PJ is my favorite band of all time and I love Soundgarden (yes I did go to high school in the 90s) but TotD and Mad Season et al are just not as strong musically, not even close.

It's disappointing to see these tired rock critic cliches from like 1999 being regurgitated.

If it were that simple, companies wouldn't advertise to children, they would advertise to parents.  But they understand that they can get kids to pester parents and guardians (and babysitters and schools and daycares etc).

This.
Consuming junk food as breakfast is simply ridiculous.  That this considered appropriate for children is beyond absurd.

The lettuce they use is iceberg, which has like no nutritional value, and cheddar cheese isn't exactly healthy, either.

I pretty much gave up on this show a few months ago but tuned in last night 'cause I was already in front of the TV and could not make it past half-way.  The menstruating bits were especially egregious- and then the gay dancing on the street… wtf.  I know I used to think this show was good at some point but that seems

That was my first thought when I read the article title.
