If you stick my coffee table on Voyager or Enterprise it would be the 2nd most interesting character.

Never did it for me.  She's a… handsome woman, I guess.
Don't get me wrong- love the character, love the actress.  Just not "hot"

How do you do that thing where if you want to address or reference a particular poster you get that button bubble around his name?

There are Beverly admirers?

So she wasn't good until she became a Klingon?

You guys don't find Quark and Rom's mom to be as annoying as Zek?

No, Cardassia and the Federation were not competing for control of the space station before the wormhole.  Cardassia abandoned it, and its occupation of Bajor- that's the whole point.  Bajor wanted the Federation to help it get back on its feet and to consider membership.

People, people, there will be enough time to argue about Past Tense when we get to it.
(By the way I had to look up which episode y'all were talking about.  Knowing them all by name is even nerdier than I can handle).

Funny thing is, they're supposed to be a healthy, happy couple.  And in fact they are- they raise decent kids and sacrifice for each other, etc.

late teens/early 20s, so no, in relative terms.

Troi and Dax, when wearing Trek uniforms at least look like believable officers, at least within the real of that universe.

*nods*
Basically I only wanted to watch the Dominion War, Kira, Bajoran vs Cardassia, and a select few classic stand-alones.

Yeah, you're right, definitely no romance there.

She's awful, and I think the problem with her character is the common problem of any character who is only defined by her relationship to another, more important character. (i.e., pretty much any female character in genre fiction)

It's REAL.  CAN'T YOU SEE WHAT I'M TELLING YOU?!!!!

Troi is prettier than T'Pol, IMO.  T'Pol looks to… um, pointy?  Lots of angles. Which is great for the part, since she's an alien and all, but I just have a thing for thick black curly locks and difficult to determine accents.

Does "babe trajectory" refer to women who are beautiful but completely uninteresting?  'Cause if so, yeah, I'm right there with you.  Although I would argue that started with Troi.

Last time I watched the series I only watched the good ones.  I read the episode description on Netflix and if I saw "Dax" or "Ferengi" I would automatically skip it.

eh… criticizing Star Trek for white liberal guilt is like criticizing it for being in space.  It's just part of its DNA

After the show I did some internetting and it turns out he busted his lip in the 80s or 90s so he's been struggling since then.  I'm guessing he just feels he has to play cause what else can he do, it's not like musicians get good benefits and health insurance.
