FUCK! I could have driven my Ferrari to the Bahamas? That's the only reason I didn't't go (my yacht was in the shop that week).

I prefer to think of him as the Cheeto of the Apocalypse.

This guy is completely full of shit. Everyone knows that female country artists have a creamy nougatine filling under a sweet candy shell. Tomatoes? Blech!

If they're willing to make this movie, can I also request a sequel to Conan the Librarian from UHF?

It's amazing how even in this low-res image of a painting where I can't even clearly see his face, Joffrey still comes across as a smarmy, punchable little prick.

Yes he did.  It's been years since I've seen The White Seal or Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, but both of those were nicely done.  Proof that you can actually do a good job by being reasonably faithful to the source material.

Can't argue with you on that one, especially the stories where Mowgli gets older and starts acting like a domineering prick towards the animals who raised him.  But in spite of a handful of downers, most of them are great stuff, and at least for me, they've stood the test of time since I first read them as a kid.

By any chance, is anyone working on a version that bears at least a passing resemblance to the actual plots of the stories found in the books?  They've pretty much been batting zero on that so far.

"Woody Allen Swagger!" Best band name ever! I called it!

"They are not weighed down by the pressure to conform to whatever it is they set out for themselves. They simply react to what’s in front of them."
That statement confused me as well.  WTF are these characters supposed to do, NOT react to what happens in front of them?  We all have hopes, dreams, and goals, things that

I couldn't agree more.  Much as I enjoy this site, it seems like whenever there's a popular series being discussed, the reviewers can't wait to pounce on some episode they don't like as much as all the others and use it as an excuse to write an article declaring that the show has started to spin its wheels, and that

That was before someone made a movie showing Django's djunk.

I agree that GROPOS is a good episode, especially considering how dark it gets at the end.  Killing off every one of the guest characters except for Gen. Franklin himself (who would have been the most obvious candidate to get killed for dramatic effect) was a ballsy move for that time, much like killing the kid in

Now I'm trying to remember, but failing - did they ever show that scrap of clothing being lost, or have we just not seen it for a while?

@AgentBroyles:disqus - I'm trying to do the same thing with last night's season finale of Archer, which I haven't watched yet.  That's another show which regularly reaches heights of a whole other kind of awesomeness, yet I'm still sitting here half an hour after watching Spartacus, and I can't quite bring myself to

Must you use the term "nailed?"

I agree that this is one of the best episodes B5 ever produced, but for me it's because this is the kind of "missed opportunity" tragedy I personally find to be the most gripping.  I'm always fascinated when you can trace almost every bad thing that happens in a story back to one point where if a handful of people had

Breaking the legs was for when they went into the "Just hurry up and die already" mode, and needed to end the crucifixion for some reason (in Christ's case, I think it was because there was some Jewish prohibition about people being crucified on Passover, so the Romans did it to keep the populace's griping to a

There was another, even worse way to provide that support - by disregarding the platform and instead nailing the feet to the sides of the upright post by driving the nail sideways through the heels and into the wood.  There's a major nerve cluster within that part of the foot, so having a nail through it would be

???  How the hell did I miss that?  Guess I've just been clicking the week-to-week reviews on the main page, and never went to the actual Spartacus page on TV Club.  Excellent!
