But the Nadia situation wasn't set in stone… it's not like she had to end up with his brother, not if this was a "universe they made so they could be together' or however it was phrased. Maybe the island was the most significant time in Sayid life, because that's when he saved himself from being a bad person, but I

@Milpool: How did Desmond get off the island? Three words: Frozen. Donkey. Wheel.

Jack's flying leap?
Seriously. Screaming, in the rain, on a mountainside. So kung-fu. Most badass moment of the series?

Walt's probably my biggest complaint. Not sure we needed a deeper explanation for Widmore or Dharma. Anna Lucia's no more or less pointless than other incidental (but still interesting) castaways, such as Mr. Eko. The "magical abilities" don't need to be explained, as this show clearly falls into the fantasy genre.

Thank you!

Yeah, although I guess maybe Ben had some time (or maybe centuries?) to start redeeming himself as Hurley's "number two"? Michael's just stuck on the island whispering to people.

I does feel like the writer let Jacob, the Man in Black, and the sideways world take over the mystery of the island. That, apparently, was solved in the episode with Allison Janney. But, really, it didn't explain much at all! I guess we're just supposed to accept that the island's magical…?

Sayid and Shannon were nice… but what about Nadia? Doesn't the lost love of your life overrule the gal you had a fleeting fling with on a deserted island?

Ambrose Bierce would be proud
Sawyer says "Long Con" in this episode. This is also the name of the episode in which this hint appears: http://www.losthatch.com/im…

Dream Guest Panelist #1:
Ewok Guy

Let this be a lesson to Michael Bay's next muse…
…aging, even slightly, will not be tolerated.

Edgar Allen Poe
Judging by the expression on his face in that opening photo, I think we can safely conclude that Poe somehow knew that his work would one day be made into this film.

Not to overly defend Ratner…
but maybe he's just pointing out shots by other people in an attempt to give credit where credit is due. I imagine a lot of movies by great directors contain a decent number of shots by other folks, if those huge lists of second and third cameramen and location directors are any indication.

I guess he saw how much success P. Diddy has had rapping shittily over great hits from the 1980s and decided he wanted to hop on that bandwagon?

Master Shake
I dunno… I think Master Shake's voice sounds pretty funny coming from a person on the Venture Brothers. The Alchemist is hilarious!

Why, Marmaduke, why?
Marmaduke confirms EVERY SINGLE stereotype I have about Hollywood screenwriters, including the fact that they have their heads so far up their own asses that they feel the need to turn EVERYTHING, even fucking Marmaduke, into a South LA high school dramady. What's next? A feature length adaptation

@phodreaw: See also Matthew Broderick and Michael J. Fox.

An F??
So this wasn't the greatest episode, by far, but I thought the AV Club only reserved an F for the absolutely worst of the worst. (The Hottie and the Nottie, that awful movie with Jennie McCarthy, etc.) And while ep was pretty bad — the switcheroo was lame, the FBI remains laughably incompetent, the CGI ship

Did it bother anyone else that when Lore communicates with the Crystalline Entity, he just speaks normally, it regular English? Does that make ANY SENSE to anyone? Would he need to speak in a strange tongue, or at least throw out some line instructing the crew to broadcast his voice on a special frequency?
