Magnificent cane weather we're having today.

I think it would have to be the moment where Josh not only invents a president's secret plan to fight inflation but no longer supports it.

I liked River as a mind-reader and super genius and could buy that she was a deadly shot (since that's just, you know, geometry or something), but I was a little disappointed when she became the Slayer 2500 in the movie.  Not that Summer Glau's awesome fight scenes didn't make up for it a bit.

I'll go to my grave believing Mal was going to fire Jayne out of that airlock, and if Jayne had kept begging he would have.  It was only after Jayne realized he was going to die and what the crew thought of him after he was gone mattered that Mal realized there was something worth saving in that airlock.

I was hoping that the orderly he took out in the elevator was going to be missing a hand-shaped patch of skin from his face, like the guy used his super-sticky hands as a weapon.  Then later there'd be bloody hand prints all over the walls and ceilings as they were tracking the guy down.

I just can't picture Fred Williard delivering the "gravy tears" line in the AD&D episode.  I could see him raping the Ducaine (that's how I'm spelling it) twice because he didn't really understand the game and thought it was worth points or something.

I always thought Phoebe was the cutest Friend.

To mangle a Chandler line, he may not be a good man, but he's the best man in his world.  That said I agree with you— they're pushing the anti-hero thing pretty hard.  I guess we're meant to sympathize with him because he takes a brave stand against child necrophilia (pedonecrofilia?  Did I just invent something?)

Where there even age of consent laws back then?  Weren't people pretty much married and working 100 hour a week jobs by the age of 12?

I kept wondering how they were going to explain it to the wife— "Your husband didn't really leave you, he was brainwashed by a telepath.  Happens a lot these days."
