You really are too picky.

I'm always happy to see G.W. Bailey getting work.

It's not anyone's real accent, but no matter.  What I've found is that American actors can't do a convincing Southern accent unless they're actually from the south, but they usually can do English accents.  English actors, for whatever reason, tend to be able to do both American and Southern accents.  I don't know why

Curtis Armstrong was good, and I thought the show did well not making him a "scumbag" lawyer, but someone who actually had a pretty good point.  There was a good line in an early episode that Brenda says to someone who kills a doctor who the DA wouldn't charge with murder (paraphrasing), "We don't decide who's guilty

For my money, SVU jumped the shark when it became all about "the twist".  Used to be, it would cycle through rape/child abuse/serial killer story lines, and it was about as dark as you could expect from broadcast television.  Then somewhere around Season 9 (give or take, I was tuning in less and less by then) they'd

What was "Detective Lawyer, M.D." from?

Yeah, "In Plain Sight" lost me when the showrunner left and the lead's relationship with her boyfriend turned into the worst sort of high school poetry drivel.  Fritz was always an ideal husband, and there were a lot of times over the series where you could really get his frustration with how Brenda put her work

For some reason a friend of mine always throws this line back at me, "In a perfect world we all have girlfriends like Kyra Sedgwick, although I don't find her all that attractive."  It came up during a discussion of "Phenomenon" and I really have no idea what point I was trying to make.

"What drives a person to sign up for the military knowing they’ll be
stationed in the arctic? (Maybe there’s no choice in the matter, but I’d
assume there must be at least a little, right?)"

Well, yes, Blade 2 was a great film.  It had Marta 1 as a ninja vampire, that's worth like 3 stars right there.

Oh my God, my hatred for Paul W.S. Anderson burns with the heat of a thousands suns.  AvP alone means he should never not be being punched in the dick.
