I like L7.
I like L7.
I think "Superfuzz Bigmuff" holds up just as well, if not better, than a lot of the better-known albums referenced here.
Chuckee Jesus has the albums in the correct order.
Fortuitous!
Hyden: you should be proud. That comment is hilarious.
re: Fugees: I happen to like "Blunted on Reality," although I full recognize the supremacy of "The Score."
I will continue listening to Operation Ivy for the rest of my life. I also have incredibly strong memories associated with "Energy" (or, depending on whose house I was at, the CD version, which also included "Hectic") and those songs sound as good today as they did when I was a teenager.
I hate that people consider Blind Melon to be one hit wonders or disposable or anything like that. They were one of my favourite bands at the time, and I still listen to them on a regular basis.
Didn't he kill their keyboard player or something?

My War is my favourite Black Flag album.
Is there such a thing as grunge? Yes. It's called Mudhoney.

Anyone have a theory as to why there appear to be more female bassists in rock bands than women in any other roles (singer, drummer, whatever?)
I must have read hundreds of interviews with PJ Harvey over the years, just as a result of reading an excessive amount of music magazines in my youth, but I honestly don't know if I've ever heard a note of her music.
Red Medicine is a great record.
Corgan obviously realized he sounded like a Muppet, so he decided to shave his head so he wouldn't look like a Muppet too.
I'm going to overlook how weird it is that an area in New Jersey has the same name as a Canadian province and just say that basement shows are always awesome, no matter where they happen.
I have absolutely no connection to the city of Chicago, Urge Overkill or Liz Phair.
Uh…if anyone was a combo of Sabbath and Zeppelin it was Soundgarden, not Pearl Jam.
