Carolla had most of the best lines of the episode. I expect that'll continue.

Ann Margaret by way of Bozo the Clown…nice.  I actually had no idea who she was, so my favorite moment of the episode was when she boasted of having more twitter followers than anyone else on her team.  That seemed really important to her.

Cool, makes sense, I would just suggest listening to episodes with noteworthy guests.  In the past few weeks the Dr. Drew (with Nick DiPaolo & Artie Lange also showing up), Dana Gould, Patton Oswalt and Kevin Smith episodes were all great, for example, while I skipped most of the others.  Maybe the AV Club should do

Dr. Drew on the Adam Carolla show is always worth a listen, though I know the AV Club views him as the Dane Cook of podcasters.

As awfully bland as "Move Along Home" is, the Wadi do call to mind Judge Holden from Blood Meridian, whose claim that "all life is games" always stuck in my mind.  It's a claim I dismissed when I first read it but which seemed more profound the more I thought about it, and it's tempting to approach the idea with

If Watson is cast as an American this could be a clever examination of the paternal-smarter-better mannered Brit / chip-on-shoulder-under-educated American relationship which is so rarely used in film and television, doncha know?

It's rare to know the jump-the-shark moment before you actually see it.  Kidding.  Sort of.

Another great write-up!  But I don't envy you the task of wading through the morass of the rest of season 1…at least you have "Duet" to look forward to.  Nevertheless, if you want to skip ahead to mid-season 2 or so, I won't judge.

Really?  Unless my sarcasm meter's off base, could you give examples?  Just curious, not trying to be a d*** or anything.

I guess it's time for me to start watching.

Little too heavy on the summary and a little too light on the insight/opinions, Mr. Rabin

Fantastic write up! I look forward to more.
