Beth is a pretty amazingly well realized character, I think. A lot of her scenes in Season one were very powerful. Really strong acting from the actress that portrays her. She's doing a great job in this season as well, trying to channel her own grief and tragedy to help others.

I get what you're saying. I don't think it's a perfect film, but I don't think there's anything that's truly grating for me the second or sixth time around that lessens my view of it though. That are, of course, certain parts that I think could have been stronger. The stuff with Topher Grace trying to warn Murphy

I mean, I disagree. I've seen Interstellar probably 5 times or so, and I appreciate it each time, and I still really love it.

Yeah! I agree.

Yeah, acting wise. And in terms of how interesting he was. Diamondback was not interesting at all - even when "doing things." At least, not to me.

Actually, this trailer disappointed me a bit. There were so much more they could have added in here. The pivoting frenzy in the season 1 finale where he looks just absolutely crazed and is going around stalking people on the street to bounce app ideas off of them after the TechCrunch debacle, until the police stop

I'm fairly surprised that people loved Inception, but hate on Interstellar. I liked both a lot, but I still think Interstellar is one of Nolan's best, and exceeds Inception. I remember when a friend of mine and I went to the theater to see Interstellar, and when it ended, we both turned to each other and said, "Wow."

Interstellar gets trashed on, but that's one of my favorite movies of his. I was blown away by it.

True, but I guess what I meant is, MAYBE people who see these news articles about it here will click through to better news outlets for such information, or get interested and involved in some other way. But, true, if you only ever see the Newswire posts here, you're at a pretty great disservice.

True - I certainly knew what was up with season 1. I was on the fence of continuing to watch, but I've seen the promos for season 2, and realize that the show is taking a different route with season 2 (i.e., road trip), so it seemed worthwhile to ask all the same. As for the popularity, that sounds about right.

This isn't a Preacher appreciation website though, is it? Otherwise I'm in the wrong place. I put the question out there, though, because there are plenty of opinionated people here on the anonymous section of the internet that are presumably ready to share their opinion about pop culture, so I thought maybe other

We don't still do this crap, do we?

So is Preacher really that big a deal? I watched most of the first season, but not the finale. Should I watch the finale of s1 and the season 2 episodes?

Ah interesting. I didn't really like Shades or Misty that much either. Claire has been great in everything, though. The rugged realism from her has been a pretty good throughline for all the shows, even though it's sort of frustrating that she's not mentioning the fact that she knows bulletproof, super strength, crazy

I haven't mastered how to do a spoiler tag yet, so, spoilers below. I mean, SPOILERS BELOW FOR SEASON ONE OF LUKE CAGE.

Well, it also says at the bottom, "Complete first season watched for review."

I mean, I don't think anyone should be getting their political news from the AV Club, but there are people who don't stay at all informed about anything, and this is probably their only source of such information - which, while scary to me to some extent, also makes me a little glad some stuff is covered here.

The President is part of pop culture. And lots of pop culture right now is focusing on the President. So…

Really? That's surprising. I thought this episode was basically trash compared to last week's. The writing in this episode really popped out as being especially bad. I don't think the dialog and writing in the series is ever impeccable, but it really stood out in this episode as being bad.
