Yeah, I like Warren for her policies, and her push for economic reforms like student loans, interest rates, consumer protections, etc… but a lot of the times she makes news is when she gets into Twitter battles with Trump, but I don't really care about those. I also am supremely disappointed she didn't endorse either

She is outrageously cute. Every time I saw her on screen in Fargo season 2, when she's afflicted with cancer, I wanted to hug her.

I agree that most are telling the truth, and those that aren't are mentally unstable.

I'll have a report on your desk by weekend's end.

I saw a meme on Facebook last week. It was an announcement that because summer is coming and women will dress differently to keep cool, men are not "allowed" to sexualize women, etc. my first instinct was to say, "of course they're ALLOWED!" The United States (and other countries) have rights to citizens for free

That's the mentality of someone with a "just world" belief, proposed by Lerner's "just world" theory from social psychology. Basically, some people need to make sense of the world and believe things happen for specific reasons. So that need to make sense causes great dissonance when presented with "innocent victims",

I think your defenses of The World's End has convinced me to re-watch it sometime soon now. I'm hesitant to believe I'd rank it equal with Hot Fuzz or Shaun, but I'm curious if my perceptions might change. I saw it in a theater when it originally came out and haven't thought about it very much since then. Until now…

"But the ending takes the sweetness out of the friendship, and makes it
seem like it's about that cop finding a bro and then excessively
enforcing justice in a small village."

I'd make the argument that because Fuzz rewards multiple viewings, it's the most re-watchable, and thus, the most enjoyable over time. I had a different experience in that I really liked Hot Fuzz on the first viewing, and have watched it many, many times since. I've watched Shaun a number of times as well, and still

Hot Fuzz is definitely among my top 3 favorite comedies. It's the funniest, and also the sleekest. I like Shaun of the Dead a lot too, and agree that it's the most emotional.

That's about as much development as Batman has in the movie.

Oh, let's see then… factor that in… carry the one… bring in the remainder… well then, have at it! Knock yourself dead!

As someone who's seen the theatrical cut, though, my first impression is that increasing the quantity of scenes/blood/whatever in that movie will absolutely not fix anything, or make it more enjoyable.

I thought about making a joke about it fixing the problems with the original movie, but it made me start remembering the actual movie I saw, and alllllll the problems with it… then I got tired… so very tired…

Is Delphine really that hot / offering that much sex appeal that horniness is why people want her back?

Is that what happened to the kid after the "rescue"? The parents/guardians scolded him… with extreme prejudice?

The kid doesn't die when this happens. Instead, gorillas get shot when kids go into gorilla pits, then people on the internet hopelessly argue over the value of life across species.

Yeah… is there really no just full video of the conversation? Instead, you have to watch it in clips that are interspersed with gag-inducing music and photoshoots of the actors who are speaking? That's the worst thing ever.

I agree that this makes me a little, uh, ambivalent about the movie. I liked the trailer a lot, actually, and was looking forward to this more after seeing TFA and thinking, also, that it was a bit too redundant and safe.
