No, he just shot lots of people, stabbed a guy in the chest, blew people up, put the life of a little old lady in jeopardy by attacking a guy with a flamethrower pointed at the innocent civilian, almost stabbed another hero in the face with a spear, and branded people with a symbol and sent them to prison to

Only if he carves their torsos so that it looks like a bat symbol. Because otherwise he just wouldn't be batman. Cause he can shoot people, and brand people and send them to death in prison… but as long as there's a bat symbol involved, it's practically canon straight from the comics. Snyder found the loop hole.

It would indeed be nice if Batman doesn't kill anyone in this new movie, after serial killing/mass murdering more people than the villains in that other movie that everyone agrees is terrible.

That is one complex run-on sentence. It really took my breath away.

Well, I didn't quite say it meant your argument lost all validity. I don't really have much interest in arguing with you back and forth over the subject, because it's a subjective experience. Personally, I thought the scene was funny, and meant to be funny. Instead of wringing out the drama and pathos of Peter

I did enjoy the Harry Potter movies, and the books that I did read of them. I mean, say what you will about massively popular entertainment - lowest common denominator, etc., whatever. But you have to admit that the story told in that series is far and away, way better than many of the others that have been told

I disagree. I mean, I first disagree that it's NOT a great movie. But I also disagree that it was tacky or unearned that he made it out of there, because the movie was designed in such a way to make a statement, and that theme isn't realized if he's just sucked into a black hole.

Yeah, it's almost as if the quality of the content created is almost perfectly correlated with the skill of the creator that is producing said content, regardless of whether they are a fan or not.

Yeah, he must have thought it was a ship, and he was captain. It was really silly/stupid/mystifying. Just like the rest of the movie!

It's true that Man of Steel looked much better in the previews than the movie was. The image of him as a young boy with the makeshift cape was a powerful image. But then you watch this movie, for instance, and there's absolutely none of that. There's nothing but the messianic imagery, dour self-seriousness and

This is also the guy who just made the movie that shows Bruce Wayne's parents being murdered by a guy with a gun, with many closeups of the barrel of the gun… then Bruce/Batman just casually using guns in literally, almost every action scene he has. Often shooting thugs with their own guns, carrying around what looks

I laughed a little too much at the idea of him collapsing an orphanage.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Haha, man, this movie was absolutely terrible. The lack of expression on his face after that scene… and the fact that even happened, basically… was just unbelievable. The explosion there did almost nothing with the plot, too, and it seems really silly that Luther would have even bothered with it.

I watched Interstellar a few times in the theater. I thought it was unbelievably fun, epic, and at times, moving. I had a stupid grin on my face when it ended the first time, and I went to see it again (and purchased it) and still find new things I love about it. So, I'm with you on that one, and it perplexes me a bit

I laughed at this movie, which I saw last night, really early on. Bruce Wayne calling the guy that's in the building next to the giant death space laser, and says, "Get out of there!" And only then does the guy decide that, yes, maybe that is a good idea! Maybe not stand next to the death laser, since Bruce Wayne told

You seem angry.

No, I think you sort of, uh, made that second part up. Usually arguments that start with, "I think everyone in the audience" coming from some random person aren't that persuasive, though.

Haha. I love how pretentious that is, in a fun way, if such a thing is possible.

Totally understandable. I've had good thoughts and arguments in response to potentially silly items too.
