I'm hoping that he falls down that elevator shaft, with a tracking shot a la the opening credits.

I'm only 16, and I got a Mad Men notification!

If they release it in black and white, score it to "Sing, Sing, Sing" and throw in some dramatic implications for the ass, it could win all of those Oscars in real life.
The Good Wife is a great mix of artful soapiness, legit drama, and resonant topicality. It's not The Wire, though it shares some DNA. Combine it and Breaking Bad and you have something like The Wire, sort of. Anyhow, it certainly deserves the accolades it receives.
Dikachu I don't watch 60 minutes regularly, and I sometimes stop watching when boring stories come on, but they still come out with very interesting and informative stories sometimes. Its good as far as newsmagazine shows go, I guess.
Ugh I guess it is possible that Carter Bays' tweet was actually true in which he said before the supposed apocalypse that Barney and Robin got married and Nora was the mother. Didn't they say that Robin never got married though? I'm kind of in "fuck this show" mode right now.
Didn't really know what to expect out of Megan this season, but I'm really liking her. I agree that she is far more intelligent, mature, and empathetic than Betty, and is a very interesting character, but she's not, as Peggy calls her, one of those girls who can do everything. For example, in this episode, she pulls a…
Lester Freamon has nothing on the great Burt Macklin.
Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle looks great, but she could not possibly approach Rachel DAWES. Also, is the Riddler in this movie or not, because there was a poster of the green question mark, but he hasn't been in any of the trailers.
Shit, I was looking forward to this. Though I think I loved the book a bit too much to be truly satisfied by any screen adaptation, this one had a great pedigree.
THATS who it was! Thank you, I was about to go as batshit insane as Leland Palmer. And boy did he bust Don's balls like few have there.
Of course the ten funniest seconds of the ep were the ten seconds that Harry Crane was in ("You weren't even there, Harry!"). Mad Men was really bringing the funny tonight, with Peggy's "Canadian Baseball" line, and basically everything Roger did. Of course they had to bring the show's worst character back. Glen has…
This show is so great. Not to get too worked up about trivial awards, but if the Emmys fucking deny Amy Poehler again then maybe it would be a good thing if the apocalypse came. Heisler's review was great as usual, but one thing he didn't mention was how great Rudd was in this. Seriously, it may have been the best…
Exactly. There's this quote from The Big Short, where Steve Eisman(?) said something like "Working at the rating agencies should be the fucking ultimate goal, people at Goldman should be aspiring to work there." I'm not quite sure how this would be accomplished, but it would be great if it were.
Certainly, Wall Street is probably America's most potent entity in terms of generating capital, but if it is not managed properly, by themselves and/or the government, as you mentioned, everything falls to pieces.
Thank you very much, what you have mentioned are the kind of things I wish this episode had addressed. As you said, Wall Street is driven by an urge for free money, which is why the investment banks, even Goldman, ended up eating the dressed shit-sandwiches CDOs that were originally designed to take advantage of…
Was I the only one who felt that this was not very informative by Frontline's standards? Maybe they will explain more in the next part, but the synthetic CDOs and predatory lending were really the only thing they went into, as they failed to explain the "real" CDOs and their style of putting a few AAA rated bonds on…
Kings of Craplon The Ocean was in a lot of ways a reprise of Moby Dick, and while The Ocean is a solid drum track, I prefer the execution on the former, especially the very subdued solo in the middle, which is nice, because he sometimes did get too out of control. Tecumseh great call with We're Gonna Groove, that is…
