This was the first episode I've listened to, and I'm ticked off at myself I hadn't listened earlier.  I must have listened to their bit about Romney 3 or 4 times now.  The list of insults Romney didn't say is just brilliant.

Jose Chung convinced me to commit to X-files, even though the show aired on Friday nights my freshman year of college.

Set The Ray To Jerry is such a unique and beautiful song.  Its almost a duet between Billy's vocals and Jimmy's drumming, with the guitars just floating in the background.  I cannot believe that it didn't make it onto Mellon Collie over one of the goofy songs.

The format  does not bother me so much, because in NYC the first radio station to play alternative rock (Q104.3) also played great 60s/70s era rock.
