I found Rabbi Ari much more tolerable than Maggie, though. Maybe because she's only in a couple of episodes? Also, maybe because being spiritual is her job. It also doesn't seem as smarmy or insincere as Maggie's spirituality.

They went bankrupt at the end of Season 2 - that was basically the end of it. I think the writers got sick of the embattled funeral home plot. To be honest, I can't imagine it going much beyond two seasons.

Upon rewatching this episode this morning I was surprised by how funny it is, especially the early scene in the Fisher kitchen that John mentioned. I loved David's recounting of Temple Grandin's hugging machines and Nate's claim that it was disturbing.
