Lucky you!  I'm waiting.  And drumming my fingers like Sherlock jonesing for a cigarette.

I don't think that one's a plot hole - the reveal will tell us what was up.  Other things, like how the reporter didn't do more background checking on "Richard Brook," will probably just flap out there in the wind like plastic bags stuck at the top of a tree.

That pairing makes ZERO sense to me.  A) As you note, Rupert Graves is crazy hot.  B) I very much admire Mark Gatiss's work, but as Mycroft he is creepy, not sexy at all.  Like, the opposite.

You're right, and the magpie theme continues - if you look at the red seals on the brown envelopes, the image is a magpie.

In answer to your reply that I can't reply to:  Kaila Hale-Stern at io9 actually asked Rebecca Eaton this question (which I'd posted on a "What are your questions?" thread), and got the predictable reply:

"Richard Brook" also has posted fake reviews on Amazon.uk, and has a Linked In profile plus a (dead) website.

"Watching Sherlock interact with her is unbelievably awkward and usually kicks in my embarassment squick/desire to kick him in the leg  to some degree."
