A lot has happened since Vicky's death, but after Tripp, I'm sure Matt feels more helpless than ever unless he never leaves Mystic Falls borders. (Does he even do that?) I do get a sneaky suspicion that Matt will end up in trouble.

I can't believe I'm going to defend Jeremy Gilbert (save this post for future generations,) but I think it was a meta jab at Delena.
I'm also one who isn't sure how this will play out and that's definitely coloring my view of it, fair or not. While the Catherine-Mary discussion was heartbreaking, I didn't cry until she told Francis she'd been raped.
I also liked this episode, but for slightly different reasons. I wanted to believe more that Damon is doing what he's doing for Bonnie, but I didn't. I'm sure they wanted me to and that he's finally doing something not to get points with Elena. He had some absolutely great lines though!
Enzo didn't really turn Matt against Stefan though, did he? He turned him against Enzo, while creating some doubt. Stefan may have failed to act, but Enzo did it. It would be interesting if they go after Stefan next. It's also good that Matt and Jeremy have something to do. I just don't have faith Enzo will actually…
Elena asked to be compelled and Alaric didn't. Damon is an action-first, think-second kind of guy.
That's interesting. I sort of agree with you, but Alaric obviously thought Damon would treat him with more respect. He saw from the other side that Damon had been grieving for him and other than killing Aaron ? hasn't been Damon on a path to a sort of redemption?
I saw some other comments after I posted mine that mentioned it too. We can be dopes together!
Gotcha. I still think that's an even better outcome and if he's as paranoid as he says he is, he knows people are coming for him. Get him to play it while he's lost his ally and I think they could have swayed Missy to their side as well.
Reed was looking fantastic…then he shaved.
If Jon didn't have a clue that Natalie was switching her vote, why would he have an inkling that they would vote for Jaclyn and give her the idol? He's shown he can be left out of discussions.
Yes, Carrie, yes. It was a tease and disappointing when it actually started to look good. What was with the promos that implied a tie was coming too?
Yeah, it was a good episode, but Bev loving her family too much is something they show all the time. It was funny, but I'm hoping it gets changed up again.
With Wes gone, I'm toast, but it's been fun. Thanks Judge.
Morgan is constantly trying to kiss Danny and it's just so adorable. I love Morgan, so I really liked this episode.
Genevieve was great and I saw her recently on HGTV, but Laurie was my favorite.
Are they focusing so much on Francis making poor decisions, so they can focus on Mary later? How much time does the show think it has? She's barely been a presence and it's usually to clean up his mess, leading to a bigger mess.
I think it's usually in January.
It's not only that the focus has been on Lola-Narcisse and Francis-Mary, but they're literally have the same conversations over and over again. How many times will Mary say Francis is not the man she thought he was? How many times will Narcisse proposition Lola, trying to convince her he's not the bad guy?
Yeah, his excuse made sense, but it doesn't make up for everything he did afterwards once she told him how she felt. He pushed her away…what about the jerky behavior afterwards?
