It also helps A LOT if you've ever been really invested in any sport, not just football. I was an athlete from preschool all the way through college (though not football, of course), so I really love all the drive-to-win-the-championship or get-seen-by-recruiters stories.
I watch, but not on Fridays. I usually catch them online on the following Monday or Tuesday, and by then it seems like it's too late to bring anything up for discussion. I'd imagine I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
