So an surprisingly emotional, intelligent show like Steven Universe gets a crossover with a show like….like….Uncle Grandpa?!
What's going on up at CN HQ?

Holy crap, this episode really got me in the feels. (I've never said that sentence before, and I never planned to) It was funny but the undercurrent of sad emotions stopped me from laughing as much as I'm used to with Brooklyn Nine-Nine. That final couple scenes really tied it all together and it's good to see Jake…
I found that Season 3 was my favorite season, with strong conflicts, cliffhangers, and development of character relationships. We also got Shaw, who was a very interesting character (I don't want to spoil anything about his story arc)
Finally, I found someone else who watches Chuck right now. I'm currently on Season 4 but I've been stuck on watching certain episodes, because they're just not as great as the last 3 seasons.
Well I guess it's finally time to watching Season 1 on Netflix and getting one item off My List.
Actually it's going to become a Superhero franchise. Dev Patel goes to a movie with the guests, but they get killed by a rival hotel's guests. He swears revenge and grows up to become "The Hotelman"!
By that point, people might think that the title is actually about the quality of the movie.
If you were a saying a joke, that's pretty funny (no sarcasm intended). If you're serious, that was a movie called the 100 Foot Journey.
I haven't watched the show yet, but I was taking a look at the AV Club Pilot review to see whether or not I'll have to grind through the first couple seasons to get to the good stuff that is so critically acclaimed. Looks like I won't have to.
Thanks, I'll check those out.
Maybe she was laughing at how cheesy some episodes of Arrow can be? (Though from what I've seen of AoS, it can be pretty cheesy as well)
If you want to see the show at its best (and most likable) watch Season 2. It's on Netflix. I would suggest starting from Season 1, but you already know the characters, and the first half of Season 1 is pretty cheesy.
I was really looking forward to this as a great PS4 exclusive, but I guess I'll have to wait till Bloodbourne.
Could someone recommend any good (recent) thrillers or mysteries? I have been reading some realistic fiction, but I'd like to spice it up. I haven't read anything that's really gripped me since Station Eleven (read it back in January).
I've been wondering about how this show could possibly work. The promos seemed pretty funny, but there's only so long you can watch a suburban dad with a beard and a hoodie doing random stuff. I'll check it out but the idea itself feels contrived as an idea for a television series.
Not exactly disappointed, but reading comments on the AC Club Reviews of it gave me the idea that not everybody was overjoyed with its quality. I can't understand why though, the show has been amazing and it's only 4 episodes in.
Movies: Just watched Whiplash. It was an incredibly strong film with a great sense of character arcs, atmosphere and editing. The most impressive thing about the movie to me is how JK Simmons managed to make his dialogue feel natural. Many times when watching a character who has to be a jerk and swear a lot, it's…
My only experience with Reynolds' acting was the X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Green Lantern, both memories of equally terrible movies. This film sounded a little familiar, but I was hoping to see some acting from Reynolds that explained why people liked him so much, but I guess I'll just wait for another movie.
I enjoyed The Flash when the show started, but now that we're on the 14th episode, some of that excitement has faded away. While the action sequences remain strong and the character remain likable, the story feels more of a taste of what we might get in Season 2, constantly starting and stopping. Several of the…
This episode was bad. Just bad. The only saving graces were Fish, Jerome being locker for 30 seconds, and Bruce. Everything else made me want to go to sleep, or laugh in its utter awfulness/ridiculousness.
