I liked Ross until he decided that Rachel wasn't allowed to make new male friends after she started dating him. Oddly enough, I went off him pretty quickly after that.

"How do you get a monkey into a zoo?"
"I know that one! …no, that's Popes into a Volkswagen."

"I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told Al Minzer and his pyramid of dogs - take any job you can get, and don't make on the floor."

Stop Or My Mom Will Shark

I don't see it as that out-of-character either. There's a later episode in which the whole gang sings along to 'Smelly Cat' in the middle of Central Perk, surrounded by other people. (Except Ross, because they run out of lines by the time it's his turn.)

He didn't even have an agent until this episode, so I'm guessing not.

Is it a vestibule? Maybe it's an atrium.

"I was going for 'quiet desperation'."

DE SOUTH WILL RISE AGIN, MON!

Also, was Chandler's request for the tape *really* that ambiguous? I just assumed he wanted the tape for fapping purposes.

I don't even have a car any more, but I still say this every time I go to a mall/out of town shopping complex/theme park/similar.

Can I play the piano any more?
Of course you can!
Well, I couldn't before!

*small voice* I liked Piz. I liked Piz a lot more than I liked season three Logan.

Hospital Worker Ben. "Ben" was the shortened version.

Wasn't it Emma, rather than Ben, who laughed at novelty rap songs?

"I think I'm gonna catch up on my correspondence."

Monica's nadir as a character was being Phoebe's wedding planner. She was so horrific in that episode that it kind of ruins the earlier episodes for me, because I can't quite forget what a truly toxic human being she's going to become.

Surely the most disastrous absence of chemistry was when they tried to make us believe that Rachel and Joey would get together? Although at least they realised what a terrible idea that was and actually made the lack of proper romantic chemistry the reason the characters broke up.

I remember thinking towards the end of the show's run that it felt like Jennifer Aniston was really the only one still making much of an effort to act a character rather than to act the schtick, which is probably why I was always more willing to forgive bad behaviour from Rachel than I was any of the others. (Except

Susan was almost always a one-note character whose sole purpose was to take potshots at Ross, but I did like that the actress would occasionally suggest that the character knew she was being an asshole and felt kind of guilty about it, even if she wouldn't go as far as actually apologising or changing her behaviour.
