I said "mostly," but perhaps I was overstating my point a bit. Seriously, even the good ones up there are cliches by this point. You wanna argue about whether or not U2 is transcendent? Or if 'Candle in the Wind' or 'Tears in Heaven' is a great song? No need to argue… they're not.

I totally agree. It's refreshing to see the commentors on here doing something besides wishing each other cancer aids. Granted, the songs listed in the article above are mostly insipid pieces of garbage. But I've really enjoyed this thread.
